Containerized Cold Water Plants (CCWP)
KTI containerized water chiller plants are used in the cooling of concrete to provide addition water at 3 - 5 °C. Likewise, KTI chillers are used in the production of food and beverages - to cool processes. For example, drinking water can be brought to the required temperature before bottling. A third area of application is the supply of cooling water to machines.
Up to a production of 180 m³ cold water per day, KTI chillers are mounted in a 20-foot ISO container, up to a production of 440 m³ cold water in a 40-foot ISO container.
The evaporative condenser can be integrated directly into the container if required. This creates a very compact plug-and-play solution.
Of course, the plants can also be built with consistent quality on frames for installation in buildings. This allows us to offer our customers individual solutions.
The most common fresh water temperatures are +20°C in temperate climates, +30°C in hot regions and +45°C in tropical areas.
Flake Ice Plants (FLIP)
KTI flake ice plants are used for cooling concrete, fish and other food products as well as the chemical industry. Ice produced with KTI flake ice plants is also excellent for producing fine snow.
For all KTI flake ice plants are Ice thicknesses from 1.5 mm to 2.5 mm can be realized, which can be adjusted according to the application and customer requirements.
A KTI flake ice machine can be used by 10 to 100 tons of flake ice per day produce.
It is turnkey installed in a 40-foot ISO container and is easy to transport, quick to commission and uncomplicated to expand thanks to its modular design.
KTI flake ice systems can also be pre-installed on frames to utilize existing buildings.
All KTI flake ice machines are equipped with Ice makers from renowned manufacturers equippedwhich have fixed vertical drums. Thus prevents the risk of refrigerant leakage, as there are no shaft seals. Special blades mechanically remove the flake ice on the inside of the ice maker.
Rotating, horizontal ice makers are also used for special applications. These offer the Advantage of easier cleaning and reduce the charge of refrigerant.
Plate Ice Plants (PLIP)
KTI plate ice machines are the most energy-efficient machines for the production of ice. They are mainly used for cooling concrete and fish. Likewise, we use the technology of plate ice machines for the production of snow.
KTI plate ice plants enable the Production of ice with thicknesses from 4 - 12 mm, with 7mm being the optimum thickness. The ice thickness can be easily and flexibly adjusted without effort.
A plant can be supplied by 40 to 160 tons of slab ice per day produce. This is a 40 feet container installed ready for operation. But we also offer our customers a plant that is prefabricated on frames and comes without containers to use an existing space.
If very large quantities of slab ice are required, KTI slab ice plants are also with up to 400 tons daily production per module available. These modules consist of six 40-foot ISO containerswhich only have to be connected with each other on site.
Due to the use of ammonia as refrigerant and the design of the plant, the Ice production very efficient, environmentally friendly and thus energy and cost saving.
Mobile Cold Storages (MCS)
KTI's portable cold stores provide refrigerated space exactly where it is needed. Thanks to the heavy-duty steel frame, the cold stores are easy to set up, take down and transport. The installation site is thus quickly changed.
KTI offers the portable cold storages in different equipment variants. Access arrangement can be customized according to the customer's requirements. Likewise the Type of access selectable and a sliding door or swing door in different widths can be used. Flooring is basically freely selectable, but usually made of aluminum or PVC. If necessary, this can even be made passable with a forklift. A easy accessibility with small vehicle goes without saying to make the handling of the goods as easy as possible. The mobile cold rooms are equipped with two different temperature zones available: +45°C to +5°C or +5°C to -20°C. Alternatively, the mobile cold room can also be equipped with two individually adjustable temperature zones configured, which brings even more flexibility in storage. Whether as stand-alone system, on top of each other stackable or side by side, the portable cold storages of KTI offer a flexible solution for all refrigerated storage requirements.
KTI Ice Conveyor Systems
In addition to the production of ice, transport and conveying is also of enormous importance to achieve the best performance with KTI ice plants. Because the behavior of ice changes with changing conditions such as ambient temperature, humidity or thickness of the ice shards, KTI offers the right equipment for transport and handling for each type of ice.

Aggregate Cooling by Air (CCAP)
KTI cold air plants are specially designed to cool large quantities such as gravel and other aggregates efficiently, quickly and economically during concrete production.
Thanks to the highly efficient technology of the cold air system, no or less ice is needed for cooling. Customers thus save electricity and water. Due to wear-resistant materials, these systems work reliably even under the most demanding conditions. A special air scrubber cleans the air before this is cooled down, thus permanently protecting the plant.
The prevention or reduction of ice through the use of cold air saves costs for electricity and water, as the technology implemented in a cold air system enables more efficient operation.
In addition, the cold air system must in operation only during concrete production, while an ice plant is usually in continuous operation for 24 hours to fill the ice store even during the downtimes of the concrete batching plant.
Cold air systems from KTI are a sensible economic upgrade of existing concrete cooling systems instead of expansion with an ice plant or a chilled water plant.
The use of cold air to lower the temperature of the aggregates before they are fed into the concrete mixer is the most energy-efficient way to cool concrete economically. This can improve overall efficiency by up to 30%.
